Libertarianism: Nozick argued for a minimal "night-watchman" state, limited to protecting individuals from force.
Self-Ownership: Individuals own themselves therefore they have rights over their bodies, labour, and property. This concept is threatened by taxation and regulation by the state.
Entitlement Theory: Justice in holdings depends on how property is acquired, transferred, and rectified. Redistribution by the state is unjust unless it corrects past injustices.
Critique of Redistribution: Nozick opposed redistributive taxation. He argued that it violates individual rights and is morally equivalent to forced labour.
Voluntary Exchange: Free markets and voluntary transactions are the basis of a just society. There must not be any forced exchanges.
